Amazing app! For all fans of comics and graphic novel

Its Amazon. Whats else is there to say. Oh right... No store. Until then... Ill keep the app to remind me that Amazon isnt worth doing business with. If they can figure out how to implement the store, then Ill buy. I went solely to iBooks because Amazon eliminated the Kindle app. Now I will go elsewhere for comics. Nice Amazon. I commend your strategic thinking.

Cant even read the books I downloaded anymore.

After removing in-app purchases for iOS, I have no reason to use this app. Literally the only reason I used Comixology. Guess its on to the next one, right?

I love comixology. I only use it to read up on Americas Army, but nonetheless, it is awesome.

This app is amazing, Ive used it since 2013, I mainly read single issues on it and not full series! I love this app!

Mad that you cant buy comics in the app? Blame Apple, not Comixology. Apple wont allow competing content sales in apps. If you really want to buy ebooks and comics in an app, go use iBooks. If you want a superior app to read a superior range of content, stop slagging Comixology for Apple being afraid to compete fairly.

Used to love this app, didnt even mind that I had to go all the way to their website to purchase comics. But in recent uses of this app, it is totally bugged. Ive purchased many comics, if I try to read them the app flat out says I have no books and suggests I search for some to buy. Theyre not even giving me a chance to re-download what Ive purchased. It was annoying when they took out purchases from the app. This is beyond frustrating, Im hoping for an effective update. However with Amazon slapped onto the screen; Im not holding my breath.

I cannot make a purchase from the app. Also I am only able to view my wish list from this app but I cant purchase anything.

I was already unhappy with the terribly over complicated new interface. Now I cant even read comics previously downloaded without signing in? If Im offline, I cant get to my books. Amazon, youve now completely ruined a once-great app.

This review goes out to the app developer, Id really like it Amazon would do something about the in app purchasing, I get why they arent using it but they could still have a buy button that just takes me to that comics page on comixology and auto signs me in so I can make a quick purchase but still stay in the app, using an in app web browser.

Theres no way to make a purchase, leaving this app completely useless.

The app provides a great way to read and enjoy comics. I love being able to scroll image by image. However, why they chose to not include in-app purchases is beyond me. Requiring users to go to the website, buy the comic from the website, then return to the app, download the comic, and then be able to view the comic is absurd. If it allowed you to buy and instantly download all from the app would make this an instant five star.

Ive been away from comics for a long time, but have been interested in buying digital comics. I finally decided to buy something by Peter Bagge off of Amazon from the Kindle store. I was underwhelmed by the reading experience on the Kindle app. Part of my interest in reading digital comics was my purchase of an iPad Pro; I felt that the Pro was the ideal way to read comics/cartoons. And the Kindle app is pretty bad when it comes to reading comics. I had downloaded a few samples and everything is window boxed. I was flummoxed! I couldnt understand how Amazon would think that this was acceptable. Anyway, I bought Peter Bagges biography of Margaret Sanger and loaded it onto my iPad and started reading. It looked OK, but it irked me that the page margins were so huge. Luckily, this book was also available in Comixology. I downloaded the app, signed in with my Amazon account and downloaded the book. The experience is so much better; the margins are what I expected, the images are crisper (much more like reading an actual book) and navigation is easier.

You have reduced the functionality of this app. Good job. Dicks.

The newest version (3.8.2) is a nightmare. First, this has absolutely nothing to do with not being able to purchase comics inside the app. That doesnt bother me. Its the myriad of other problems thats an issue. This app used to be so good. In addition to it not being able to handle a large library, locking up the app, now every single time I open the app it makes me log onto Amazon. It doesnt matter whether Im told it to remember me. Then when I do get on half of my books are missing and I have to shut out of the app and restart to get them to show up. It also randomly starts making previously read books unread making it very difficult to keep track of things. With each update making things progressively worse Im almost scared for the release that tries to fix these things. One positive thing I can say is the support staff is friendly and sympathetic but thats a small consolation for all of the issues. Version 3.8 - Was 5 stars but the latest update (3.8) only allows reading while in airplane mode if you have a large library. The app just locks up if not in airplane mode. If this is addressed in the next update then it goes back to 5 stars. Previous Versions: The app changed so it no longer allows in app purchases but thats a good thing. Functionally the app works exactly, if not better, as the previous version. I was already making all my purchases on their website because that was faster and easier when purchasing multiple books. I was only using the app to download and read after the purchase was already made. Buying them on the website allows me to decide when to download them rather than automatically downloading when I purchase. That is especially helpful for sales where I am buying a large volume of titles but I dont want to download them all at once. So this is a transparent change to me. Im amazed at how many chicken Littles there are saying the sky is falling because they now they have to purchase in a way that actually benefits them. It puts more money in the pockets of the creators and less money in the pocket of Apple. One thing they might want to try is allowing in-app purchases with a 30% up charge to offset the Apple fee. You can bet people would buy online to save money

Bring back the ability for IAP already Amazon!

Cant purchase comics through this app. Might as well just get your comics via individual publisher apps and read them through those.

How do you delete multiple items? This was trivially easy in the old app, from Edit mode. Now all I see is the single item swipe action, which is time consuming and poorly thought out. And of course I still miss the integrated store. I think that goes without saying for everyone.

Frustrating UI, cant buy a comic through ANY mechanism that I can find in app, on the site, or through Amazon. Very disappointed.
