Now that you can no longer purchase comics via the app, whats the point? NONE. Waste of time.

I really miss being able to purchase the comics through the app, otherwise I would have no way of getting any new ones. The way it reads and stores is pretty cool, but being able to purchase through the app would make it all the better.

Without the ability to purchase inapp the app is incredivly useless and just does not feel good

I liked the old app, you could buy and view comics. Now you just view the previous comics you bought.

This app is great for reading comics. Unfortunately, Apples terms of service dont allow them to provide the option of buying comics within the app (as I understand it). But if you go to the website, its easy enough to buy and then click Read to be taken back into the app. The interface is simple and the Guided View reading experience is really ingenious. Worth the extra two-step effort.

Trying to find or buy a comic is incredibly convoluted.

The app is now entirely a viewer. The web store that it forces you to use is clumsy and inferior, youre forced to specifically download individual new issues to your devices, and just for fun it now also doesnt notify you about new issues. If its just a viewer now, I may as well purchase elsewhere. What a horrible downgrade.

ComiXology used to be a terrific one-stop-shop for finding, buying, reading, and saving comics. Now its just a reader. You need a separate account on their web site now, including giving them your credit card info. Defeats the whole purpose of the App Store. No thanks, Ill pass.

A complete waste of time. I had the old app and loved it but whats the point of buying an app if you have to surf the web in order to find anything anymore. And now that they dont allow in app purchases, you cant use iTunes money to purchase your comics. Which to my understanding was the entire point of the app. If i wanted to pay with my credit card, i would just buy then from anywhere else and while Im at it, just get the comics in print form. This app is no longer convenient AT ALL and i do not recommend this app until they fix what they have ruined

Great appl. But Please add the support for the iPad Pro, so the display has a better quality.

I have had this app for years, loved it, way better than Marvel or DC. Then was forced to update a few weeks ago. As the other reviewers say, it is crazy to have to search for and buy comics on the website, then to go to the app to read the comics. But it is much, much worse than that. On my ipad, I have always had the choice to read a comic on the cloud, or download them. I like to download everything on my ipad. With the new app, I had to redownload every comic. That was stupid in and of itself. But the downloads only last as long as you have the App on. Turn it off, the downloads disappear. Hit read, and now you get to wait yet again. I have downloaded the same 1.1GB of comics three nights in a row so I can read while I travel. Even the menus are stupid now. In my books you only see the downloaded comics (which are always 0) and there is no way to do anything else. You have to hit store, then purchases to see what comics you have on the cloud. Never, ever go to my books if you want my advice, unless you enjoy a blank screen telling you the $100s of dollars of product you purchased over the years is gone.... or at least hidden.... WORST UPDATE EVER.

... but since I switched to my Amazon account I cant log in. The login page doesnt show up, so I cant even enter email and password. Before I really liked this app.

You ruined a fantastic app, Amazon.

I dont know whats been going on lately bit it takes forever to download a comic. Its not my internet connection since Ive tested the connection and everything else i own is fine. Not only that but even viewing the comics is bad. Takes forever for the comic to appear initially and then sometimes even lags on switching pages as the screen appears black for at least a minute before the page appears. This all needs to be fixed ASAP.

A new release and yet again the app remains fundamentally broken. Fix in app purchases.

Comixology/Amazon intentionally made their product infinitely worse by removing in-app purchases. Im not using their clunky, unintuitive, browser. I dont trust there will even be a Comixology in the future. The app used to be perfect. Now its garbage. You will get no more of my money.

Count me as another walking away from this app. It used to be one of the best out there. It got me back into comics and I started buying again on a regular basis. Sadly Amazon ruined it, likely never to be fixed. You dont mess up a good thing so badly unless its done on purpose.

Im buying lots of DC, but cant pay the indie publishers. Why are you hurting the comic industry?

Still no in-app purchases. The whole reason I used the app. The old version was probably my favourite app. This is just useless.
