The best weve got, though thats not saying much
Im fine with no in app purchases, just like in audible or other Amazon apps. I am annoyed that their comics unlimited isnt an actual borrowing or streaming plan like Netflix (or even Amazon Prime) but instead just a, "read a couple issues free to see if you want to buy the rest," plan. Since most comics have free digital issues anyway, this isnt actually a huge value for the consumer. The app itself makes getting to the comics you want to read a cumbersome trial, but at least once you finally make it to the comic, the guided view is actually well-designed and simple to use. Id like a more streamlined interface where you could easily scroll through your comics. The smart lists are more trouble than theyre worth, similar to the iTunes redesign made for people who prefer looking at their music library over listening to it. If you like your comics in lots of organized groups that just make finding what you want more difficult than it would be if they were just organized alphabetically, then the smart lists might appeal to you.
